The idea behind the website is to allow users to register and store their own contact details in a database that is accessible both by the administrators as well as other registered users. This means that the data should always be up to date and should provide accurate information to other users. The website enables registered users to search for other registered users by different categories. The administrator has the ability to view all the user information in table form, as well as export it to an external database that can be used by programs like MS Excel or MS Access for further statistical purposes. Administrators can also upload images to the image gallery, edit user details and add files to be downloaded by users. The front page can be updated with recent news events and newsletters can be sent to the whole database with the click of a button! This makes it very easy to communicate with registered users.
The main idea behind this website is to allow people to find class mates in a safe, controlled environment, while the administrator can also collect information which can be used for reunion purposes.
